Well, I just found the first new show of the season that's hooked me.

I wasn't even really planning to watch it, but Prison Break turned out to be surprisingly good. It took me a while to warm up to it (I tuned in, just by chance, about fifteen minutes in), but by the 45-minute mark I was definitely interested enough to hit "record" and pick up the second hour of the premiere while I went to go get dinner. I watched the rest of it this morning. It's the premise of the show that mostly gets me.

I wasn't so fond of Wentworth Miller in the starring role at first, but any problems I had with him (mostly, I thought he was rather bland at the start) quickly evaporated. It doesn't hurt that he reminds me vaguely of Ioan Gruffudd. Something about the intensity of the gaze. I find it utterly believable that his character's one smart guy; he's convincingly intelligent.

I missed the beginning, so I'll catch the rebroadcast on Thursday.

I wasn't looking for another new show to add to my schedule, since I have enough trouble keeping up with the series I already follow, but oh well...

Hitting my Must Watch list are Prison Break, Queer Eye, House, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (because I'm a total sucker for this show, I've discovered).

Will Catch If Possible: Blue Collar TV (a real guilty pleasure--I'm not a fan of the skits, but the standup and particularly the rapport make the show in my opinion), Reno 911, The Apprentice, Two and a Half Men.

Ah, MST3K. In what other fandom can someone post nothing but a riff from Manos and get back 22 other posts filled with nothing but riffs from Manos? I so miss this show.

Current Music: "You're So Damn Hot," OK GO
