Hey folks, check this one out.

At The Literacy Site, you can help give books to children with a simple free click.

Here's what the site has to say for itself:

The Literacy Site was founded to help promote literacy among children from low-income families nationwide. Partnering with First Book, the site makes books available to children around the country, giving many children their very first book. With the generous support of our sponsors, each click provides 1% of a book. Making books a part of a child's life is the best way to encourage the love of reading.

If you purchase from the site's sponsors, a contribution is also made. If not, you can still click on the button! For free! It's the least you can do.

The site's owners also own The Hunger Site and a number of other charity sites, which work on along pretty much the same lines. Go to any one of them to get a list of the others.

Sounds too good to be true? About.com's Urban Legends pages has this to say about the sites. Snopes backs it up with this. A google search will also get you other UL sites' verification of their legitimacy.

Did I mention it's free?
